Conversions
Customer cars, client work with partner shops, and our own in-house projects. Every one of them runs BuckWired parts.
Built with Sonoma County Street Rodz. Seven Tesla S/X modules split between the rear seat area and the front trunk give a 180V top charge and over 100 miles of range, and the car stays cool and smooth the whole way. The engine bay holds the contactor box, both coolant reservoirs, the Netgain motor and inverter, and our own fuse and relay panel running the show.
A 16-module, 85kWh Tesla pack for serious range, watched by an Orion 2 BMS with CAN-controlled thermal monitoring. A Tesla small rear drive sits where the air-cooled engine used to, on custom CV axles, for 220kW. Pulling the transmission, shifter, heater tubes and cables freed up enough underside room to move the charger, radiators, coolant heater and both pumps out of the cabin entirely. It drives — we're on the creature comforts now, the part that turns a converted bus into one you'd actually take across a state.
A first-generation Bronco receiving a Revolt Systems CR-43 motor and an 85kWh Tesla pack, monitored by a Vero BMS. The original engine is out and the bay is stripped, cleaned and painted, ready for the CR-43. Cabin AC and a heater are in the plan from the start, and Speedhut gauges put state of charge and pack data in instruments that belong in a 1975 truck.
About
I have been in the EV industry since October 2017, and working with wire a lot longer than that — my background is security and alarm systems, where a bad termination is something you find out about at the worst possible moment. Cars were always the other half of it. From 2021 to 2023 I worked at Throtl as a content creator, which put me around a lot of builds and taught me the rest of the car, not just the powertrain swap.
I have wired more than a dozen conversions now. They take six months to a year each, because my builds are rarely just wiring — there is design and fabrication in every one. Somewhere in the middle of that I kept building the same things: a contactor box, a drive unit harness, a panel to tie the 12V side together. Then I realized those parts were not specific to my cars at all. They work across controllers, across BMS brands, across pack voltages.
So I started selling them. Not because the community needs another supplier, but because these particular pieces are the ones that stall builds, and there was no reason for everyone to solve them from scratch.
Motors and batteries get the attention. What actually decides whether a conversion drives — or sits in a garage for two years — is the wiring between them. That's the only thing we build.

There is no cart. Request a quote from any product page, from the parts finder above, or with the form below. We reply from will@buckwired.com, usually within a day, with a quote and an invoice. The build starts once your configuration is confirmed.
Every part is built to order — nothing sits on a shelf. Everything typically ships in one to two weeks from the time we confirm your configuration. If you are working to a deadline, tell us up front and we will be straight with you about whether we can hit it.
90 days from delivery, covering the part itself and its internal components. We date it from delivery rather than installation because a part can sit on a shelf for months before it goes in a car. Any terminations you crimp yourself after delivery — the HV lugs on a contactor box, the circuit wires into a panel — are yours, and anything powered through our parts is covered by whoever made it.
Returns are accepted on approval within 30 days of shipping. Everything we make is built to your configuration, so email us before sending anything back and we will sort out whether a return or a change makes more sense.
Everything ships UPS at a flat $50 per order, insured for full value. Putting several parts on one order costs less than ordering them one at a time. International shipping is quoted individually — VAT and import handling vary too much by country to price up front. Email will@buckwired.com with your destination and we’ll quote it.
Most of what we build is one-off anyway. Send us your drive unit, controller and pack details through the quote form and we'll tell you whether an existing harness works or whether it needs to be built from scratch.
Both. Parts go out to builders directly, and full conversions happen in-house and alongside partner shops. A conversion is design and fabrication as much as wiring, so every one is different and they run six months to a year — which means there is no useful starting price to quote. If you have a car in mind, tell us about it and we will have the conversation properly.
High-voltage packs are genuinely dangerous, and our parts are built to be installed by someone who understands HV safety practice — insulated tools, a service disconnect, and never working on a live system alone. We do not require a certification to buy, but we do expect you to know what you are handling. Every part ships with a printed schematic marked to your build, and questions before or during the install come straight to the bench rather than a support queue. If you are unsure about something, ask before you energize anything.
